My No4 Mk1*

here is my No 4 Enfield rifle. Longbranch made in 1943. This rifle is all matching but came with a ruined set of wood. I found an unissued set in the UK and married them together. An afternoon with acetone and boiled linseed oil and here is the result.

Very nice! Back in the days when I worked in a gun store we would use Easy Off oven cleaner to clean up the wood stock then use a damp rag and iron to pop out the dents in the wood then linseed oil it.
