HI good morning , I recently obtained a British Red cross tunic for the London area and after checking the pockets found to british army cloth London District signs in the pocket , any chance these military formation signs were worn by the Red cross ? they may have been her husbands or given to her by a sweet heart ? ive spent the day checking the arms for marks if the badges were removed but after an hour it just sends me mental an makes me drink more red wine ....... probably just her husbands but would welcome any thoughts if these signs were worn by Home front units .

What a wonderful tunic! Thank you for sharing it with us. I am afraid that I do not know anything about the British Red Cross and their uniform regulations, but I can tell you that it was not uncommon for members of the American Red Cross who were assigned to various US Divisions to wear the US Divisional shoulder patches. I hope this helps.
Thanks again for sharing the tunic with the group.
