I got this Service Dress jacket today.
All the details check out, and even the WD stamp and tag dates are consistent (Q on WD stamp above arrow 1940 on tag). The tag is located behind the upper right pocket, on the wool.
However, the tag is made of what appears to be some sort of impregnated cloth. Is this normal? My Pattern 40 Battledress top from 1945 has a cloth tag and so does every other British item I own from after the war.
