    trio hms fourtune

i have just recieved from my own family a trio of first class stoker that went down with hms fourtune at battle of jutland. i have done some work and found out that during the night engagement that the fourtune went down all guns blasing. the death plake has gone missing though. in view of this and the important navel contact is it true that the value increases on such a trio?? i also recieved home office records of my family member and pics of the ship

Yes, interest & monetary value is enhanced by the fact that the recipient was a casualty & that he died in a famous action, also by the availability of research material.

To naval collectors, Jutland groups seem to be of especially high value - that increases when the group is to a casualty. The same seems to hold true for casualty groups for Gallipoli, first day of the Somme, and Vimy Ridge (for CEF collectors).
