Also he will have no problem giving you a money back guarantee on the item.
That's the most important thing, buy from people who are happy to stand by their goods, if they won't guarantee them, then there is probably something funny going on.
And make sure you get a receipt describing what exactly you are buying.

Thank you all for those that were positive and for you Rob , as I have found your remark offending I will explain , when collecting SS insignia 10's of thousands can easily be lost , I have 2 severely disabled children and can't get out , and a most of my money was lost pre Internet days , I finally thought I was getting somewhere and then was hit again loosing £5500 on 1 item alone , when you pay these kind of money's sellers should stand by their items but don'tLast edited by Darren Anthony; 07-14-2015, 07:54 AM.

I wasn't trying to offend you I was just astonished you lost £20000 at least on SS stuff . I generally sell SS stuff as soon as I get it . British cloth is a minefield especially special forces . I've been bitten and no doubt will be bitten again . Luckily I have all the British cloth I want so don't have to worry about the Pakistani etc fakes . Having said that I don't want to put you off because it is an interesting field and Jack is a good guy . RobGod please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

I went through my British Airborne Pakastani fake phase in the mid-1990;s before the forum. I think I have them all! That was before the internet and all of the nice references were published. Now each collector should be able to buy with confidence given all of these references. I wish I could have posted items for opinions. I would have saved a lot of money.
The British dealers listed in this thread are a good lot and IMO can be trusted.
The SS stuff is a different ballgame. Even the internet is dangerous with that area of collecting.

Thank you Robb , I have been a idiot , I was on heavy medication , when my Son was born I was so proud and then my nightmare started , from him being 3 months old I spent my life up and down hospitals , I had a love for the SS insignia so I ended up escaping into that not realising I was buying rubbish , I took out a very large secured loan , I had all the friends in the world , was getting a phone call from one or the other dealers saying they had this or that , 1 thing being a Deutschland tunic , it wasn't until I lost my Mum that I had a change of heart , she hated the stuff , so in her memory as we all do things with loss I decided to move my stuff on and that's when I found out it was all rubbish , I had the odd bit here and there that was okay , I should have stopped there but then you full into traps where you trust others that you come across , specially when they friend you and sympathise with your situation and the trust deepens , I have heard so many horror stories from a couple of friends I have here on the WAF , so I know people have lost more than me , and Robb I wish it was only 20,000 , I nearly lost my house but was lucky I owned in London so I came out unscathed just out of pocket , I still own my house outright but in the country , Robb I sincerely wish you all the best
