Captain Richard 'Dick' Annand VC passes away

Just thought I would inform you that Richard Annand VC passed away on 24th December aged 90. He was one of the first Victoria cross winners of the Second World War when he was a Lt with the Durham Light Infantry. Here is a link with some news links.

He was a very brave man.

    May he rest in peace

i had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman a number of times during the early 90s while serving in the army. sound bloke always up for talking to the lads even thou the officers wanted to shepherd him away to the mess, a true legend. very saddened to hear of his passing, god rest his soul.
