    Hi Edwin

There is nothing coming up on ParaData website

Depending on how long ago he died, you could try and request his service record

    Cheers

I googled 'JX service number prefix' and it appears to be a Royal Navy number. This could be a 'put together' lot.
The address is in Leeds and is still there - could be worth a letter to the current occupants?

Well I do not know where you were looking but I was looking at a street full of 1930's red brick, bay window houses.

Yes John you are right, I do beg your pardon. Upon a quick first glance they appeared more modern. I did come across a Leeds and Crossgates map from 1935 and Marston Cresent is there !

I have had a quick look in the BT online residential directory and cant find any referance to " Whalley " at all, although they could be ex-directory of course
