    Urgent Lee Metford bayonet questıon

    I saw a Lee metford 2nd pattern bayonet today. Probably Boer war as the date stamp was 7 98 and the unıt stamp was XXYLI (I guess Koylı). Found here ın Turkey.
    Sılly Questıon... ıs ıt possıble any colonıal unıts were usıng ıt ın Turkey WW1 ?

    Anyway. They seen to be at about EUR60 wıthout unıt stamps... what would ıt cost wıth thıs unıt stamp?

    Just an aside, The Ulster Volunteer force were armed with these rifles in 1914 (rather a lot as far as I can gather). I'm sure some may have found their way into the hands of British hands at some point.
