    MK II painted NURSE

Greetings : As the old saying goes " behind every good man there's a woman"... ...no more true or needed than the woman being a nurse during WW2. Although probably not as sought after as front line combat helmets, these are unique ,respected and do occupy a place of recognition for achievements during WW2. Here is the helmet that belonged to "G.E. Greene, Trinity St. FAP NURSE" The makers mark appears to be" RMS" 1940. Along with identification tag it comes complete with helmet harness and shoulder carrying strap. Thank you for all replies and comments.
    Best Regards
    Zeke

Greeting Dragnet: Thank you for the reply. I must admit it's the first and only one I've encountered also.

Yep, BMB, & what a lovely helmet.
FAP first aid party, so a mobile nurse, assessing & treating minor casualties at an incident, & sending serious casualties to hospital.

Very nice and rare for a NURSE. BMB 1940 is more likely. Love it with the carrying strap as well, they are not so common though I have seen a few.

Greetings: Thank you Tinlid for the very interesting additional information and duties associated with the name tag (FAP) , and also to you Jerry for the appreciation and confirmation of the manufacture markings.
