    Webley Revolver Bayonet

Picked up this Webley Revolver Bayonet recently from local auction, had the chance to view it the day before and with some research, was sure it was a reproduction. I bid accordingly and paid £40 (it also came with a tourist Asian knife), I was surprised it only made this amount and knowing it was a good reproduction I would still have paid more for it. The quality is very good, I do not think it is of recent production, does anybody know when this one would have been made or who made it ? The hilt has the look of gun metal, rather than brass.
    Regards Gary

hmm a ' Greener Webley' only seen one in the CWM they where a private purchase item not mistaken never many originals of 1916 vintage made. Widely reproduced a good fake runs about 170$, popular item with the gun-nut circles.

this sort of sums up it usefulness

I purchased a nice repro and had it fitted perfectly to a mark VI revolver in the 1970's. Sold it, but, It would have 40 years of patina on it by now. Yours could easily be as old.
