I always think the British have put out a lot of very tasteful things to commemorate their war dead, the death plaques being one thing and also the numerous ways they have to display them I picked up this picture frame that I think is a gem. The picture was added by me. I hope you enjoy it like I do.

Good Evening Perazzi,
Thank you for showing your displays
The picture frame in your first post is interesting, my father has a similar wooden frame with a dedication to my late Great Uncle who died in WW1, at this moment I cant remember it too well, I do not think its as decorative as your example but very similar, perhaps it was a common type of tribute at the time
I will do some more research
EDIT: The more I think about it, its very similar, will visit tomorrow and take some pictures

Thanks I'm glad you guys like it and please post your frame here when you get a picture. On the Death Penny display its a very thin piece of wood (veneer I think)that had the holes cut out to fit everything and another thin piece was glued over the back the medals are wired on. This was done by the family originally but the frame was lost to time and I added another one. I saw one that had a very thick board that was routed out for the plaque to fit in that looked really nice also. Mike

About 15 years ago a relative picked up a frame with certificate & photo to a sgt of the 16th Londons from a charity shop in Bromley.
When I visited a few days later the shop was shut and in the window were two empty little frames, one for the death plaque & one for the BWM & Victory pair.
Such a pity the items had been separated.
