Did the pawn shop buy the helmet or sell the helmet? Last night was the season opener of UK Pawn Stars on the History Channel. It was on right after Pawn Stars from Nevada

He originally asked for £4000 and settled for less.

On the same episode someone was asking £15k for a Marilyn Monroe bra and was offered just £1k by the shop. Naturally, he turned the offer down.

The programme is pretty sh*t and exists to feed the egos of the shop staff.

They are trying to sell this SS TK on ebay as original

I have emailed them 3 times telling them its a common cast fake, but they say their expert says it original and are having none of it !

The Helmet was a Mk 1 and had original owners history. I totally agree about the poor quality of this seemingly scripted program, but thought the content of this part was of interest. Amazed that the (unrealistic?) price dropped from £4,000 to £2,500, which I still thought was excessive, but may be out of touch with price of Mk 1's.

It's scripted and my helmet wasn't sold. The story behind the helmet is true and the helmet is genuine but like many of these items being "sold" their owners are just asked to appear on TV to show off an interesting piece.

If anyone is interested I will post the helmet here and explain a bit about it.
