I have a Lee Metford M1888 Bayonet with Unit Markings on the pommel. Can anyone identify which unit the marking indicates?

Possibly 4th Battalion Sherwood Foresters.

Thank you for the help. Is it possible this bayonet was used in the Boer Wars? I obtained it from a person that brought it back from Afghanistan about 5 years ago. I am showing the recasso markings. Any idea what value this bayonet would have with the scabbard?

Quite possible the bayonet saw service in the Boer war.
