Looks more WWII style than WWI, and , of course, no RFC after 1918. The general service side buttons allow just about any cap badge to be attached.
Not for me.

I agree a ww2 post ww2 cap, badge is not Bronze , does not have the look . Rob

I agree with what has been said, cap is not a pre-1918 pattern, I would return it!

As Bob and the others have posted, not WWI and quite possible early post WWII.

It has a nice OR's chinstrap on it.
