FS knives

Hi guys

Am I correct these are 2 original 3rd pattern FS knives? The one with the nice blade is marked England on the cross guard, the other one has marking on the grip.

Both knives are post-WW2 commercial 3rd Pattern. The one with the cross keys is manufactured by J Nowell & Sons.

Thanks for the info seebee, judging by their lack of quality on the grips it was what I expected.

The knife with the stamp England on the cross-guard is a post-war modification which was a sort of compensation towards the US (Most of these knives were collected after the war and exported to USA and marked with ENGLAND). Only pre 45 knives were sent to the us to pay off war debt these knives are at least from the 60's so it is not one of those knives even though it has an England stamp

And post war 3rd patterns are easy to spot the cross guards are a lot thinner then pre 45 ones
