RAF P37 belt, question

I have a question about the RAF P37 belts: is it true that there was a rare version, dated prior to 1941, without the two back brass buckles?

I think that the model I'm speaking about should be considered "Pattern 25" belt.. Is this correct?

When my dad was in the army late 50's and early 60's he had two web belts one for in the field and a parade one. The parade one had no buckles on the back and was a lighter color from his field belt.
