    Regimental crest help

    Hi!

I'm trying to identify a WWII era regimental crest, but currently have no photos to post. I'm hopeful that the description will be enough to narrow things down. I can try to make a drawing of it too.

Picture a circular ring with the crown on top, something (perhaps words?) below the circle. In the middle of the circle (running top to bottom) is what appears to be a snake on a shaft; like the lower part of a medical caduceus with the snake.

Does anyone have an idea on what this unit could be?

So I guess this is just the RAMC badge and not a particular regiment/unit?

      badge

It sounds like Royal Army Medical Corps.
Does it say "In Arduis Fidelis"?

From the description I would say RAMC.

Does it look like this? If so it is indeed RAMC.

That is it. I couldn't make out any wording below, but that is undoubtedly the same design.

Thanks to everyone for their help, I appreciate it.
