    British aviator cap

Hello, hopefully someone can give me some more infotmation about this cap I got.
Is this British (RAF?) The eagle looks similar, however there is no crown!
Or is the nationality different? The cap was found in Belgium, on a flee market, not from a dealer.

There are no markings or maker markings visible on the inside.

Can someone tell me the age of the cap, could this be pre 1945?
Hopefully the pictures are clear enough.
Thank you in advance for any information shared.

The buttons on this hat I believe are French air force. The eagle or chicken as some people call the airforce types is NOT british. Sorry but that is my best answer

French, not British. Not at all like a British side cap: they did not have the leather band that this one does, the badge and buttons are wrong and the cloth is the wrong weave and colour. Sorry!

          Hello,

I agree with Dave : this is a hat of the French air force and I think years from 1960 to 1970.
