What do you think of this paire of ranks that are machine sewn on a ww2 Canadian BD ?

Is it ww2 ?

First of all, that is a corporal rank (lance corporal is a single chevron) and yes, it appears to be WW2 vinatage.

It certainly looks as if its been on the garment for a while. The regimental tailor would likely have used a machine to add stripes to a tunic - caertainly quicker if he was doing up a batch especially.
