    FS Commecial 3rd Pattern?

I recently picked up this FS pattern knife with a couple of other military blades from a local chap who had acquired it some years previously with no provenance.

My initial thoughts (and still are) that it is a well worn bog standard commercial third pattern with no military provenance whatsoever but another collector has sewn a seed of doubt in my mind.

What I know about FS knives could be written on the back of a stamp in large font so I am seeking clarification from those more knowledgeable.

There are no other markings on the knife other than the makers name as shown - no blade marks, mould numbers etc. Likewise, the sheath is completely unmarked too (as you would expect) but it has had the elastic retainer removed/replaced - I can see where it was stitched, and the riveted press-stud added, clearly some time ago.

Interesting, no trace of such a name in Tweedales book on Sheffield makers, so possibly a retailer. However its still post war.

Must be rare then if it is not a known maker???

Curious to know how or rather why it has seen so much use but it could have been used to poke the fire for all I know.

Time to advertise it then. Would I be correct in thinking £30-40 if I'm lucky?
