    WW2 Canadian dispatch rider or paratrooper helmet NAMED- help appreciated!

    Hi all!

    I recently purchased this in a group of Canadian WW2 uniforms (including a WW1 helmet and other items) and was wondering what you all thought.

    The helmet is marked "" SG ANTON STAM 69125356" on the exterior of the liner,
    and "55 ABL 51 SARTEL" on the interior. There is also a hard to read stamp with a crown on the inside. The chinstrap and liner are in excellent condition as is the helmet, and I am currently looking for any C-> markings that may be present. These helmets were reissued in the Korean war and used up until the 1960's as well so it will be interesting to see the history behind it and it his named could be researched.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

      Yes indeed a post war Belgian paratroop helmet.

      ABL = Armée Belge - Belgisch Leger

      SG = Sgt or Sergeant
      The rest is the owners name and army number.

      The greenish webbing strap is typical Belgian

      I guess research on this guy can be done at the Royal army museum (on demand)
