    pattern 37 smallback bag?

Is this a british pattern 37 small backbag? and why it has 5 loops,? One upper on the center and two on each side? Perhaps to tie any accessories? (blanket, towel, etc..) but why I can not see the same loops in other backbag? It is marked 1941 and i was found in center Italy...
    Thanks

    The loops don't belong there.
    These are postwar sewn on.
    Re-used by the Dutch army
Maybe you can find a stamp under the flap with MVO and a date.

Sipke is correct, you can even make out the BD (buiten dienst=sold out of service) stamp to the rear.

This bag was found in Italy, in a country house near Cassino...
