    Correct stamp on this Battle dress?

    Hi,

    can you tell me if are correct the stamp and the label on this Battle dress pattern 40? Ihave little doubt about the stamp "made in england".

    Please let me know

    I myself have never come across the'' Made in England'' before, perhaps a batch were exported postwar for some reason, a bit like the ''Germany'' stamped sun helmets exprted to the USA postwar. The rest looks fine and a large size. Pete.

        Nice BD i would have no problem to buy such a specimen but maybe this stamp has to do like those F&S knives how were send to the US as a sort of compensation (post-war)?????

          Thanks, If I understand well: stamp "made in england" probably post war, but battle dress original ww2.

            That's what Chris is saying, yes, and I agree with him: looks good as a late war manufacture, over stamped latter for export. Nice find in that condition!
