Leather Sling, Bren Gun?

Purchased quite a bit of WW2 British webbng over the weelend and found ths leather sling in the bottom of a ''large pack'', both bren gun type hooks at the end are broad arrow marked, is this an issued item or something else, all comments are welcome. Pete.

I wonder if this slng at one point was used with the Madson Machine gun, did the bRits use these at some point?
