Fake cap badges , opinions please.

    Good evening gentlemen
I have been lucky today as one of my hunter gatherers has found a large collection of militaria for me of which 95% is ok but these are poised for the dustbin and I wanted to make sure they are no good before I terminate them ,
    Regards Chay

                      Chay,

I'm a novice when it comes to British cap badges myself, although I've recently started to seriously collect them, again. The only badge I personally would be confident in is the George V, RE, badge.

The Northants badge may be OK too. That being said, I don't think this "pattern" is with lugs and should have a slider, so maybe not! Lets see what the experts say.

                      Kind regards,

                      Marcus

the rfc badges are possibly real since fakers would not put RFC close together so keep the rfc badge. The tank badge looks cool and some people may want to buy it. maybe around 2.50 to 5 pounds.
the rfc badge maybe 5 - 10 pounds. however thats just my opinion i maybe very wrong

oh and consider keeping the elephant and hussar badge since the do have a chance on being real as well

Not my field but I do know that both the RFC and the RTR are widely reproduced/faked. Run them past the gents on the British Badge Forum for the expert opinions.
