Hi Guys, I thought that I would share a photo with you of a family friend. Can anyone ID his ribbons please?

    Cheers, Ade.

      Ade,

To me these look like an ACE Star, Defence Medal and maybe an NGS? I'll have to give my head a shake and take another look in a minute or two...

      Cheers,

      Adam

        Hmm...

The last one is starting to look more like an MM to me now...but then the order of precedence would be wonky...

What say those with better eyes?

Hmmm I think Robb's guess is closer...BWM and Victory...I had to get out some ribbon to unf--- my head...gee and that was an easy one too. Well at least I got the MM right...but why's it on the end?

            Cheers,

            Adam

That's what they appeared to me, but the camera's played some real tricks with the middle ribbon if it's a Victory.
The right hand one may be an Africa General Service - yellow with black outer & two dark green inner stripes?
In fact, now I've had another look, that middle one's wider than it at first appeared, so looking more like a Victory, & the right hand one's more like the AGSM than the MM in terms of width of stripes.

I`m going to say WW1 pair and NGS.

I reckon it's a BWM & Victory with a Somaliland clasped AGS on the end. Slightly more plausible than a NGS - especially as he's a pilot. A NGS, however, is still very much a possibility. It's a shame his shoulder straps aren't visible - or his sleeves for that matter. Home Guard (who were entitled to wear their wings)? Or serving in 2ATAF? I'm edging my bets on the former. Nice pic. Even nicer medal group!
