Badge ID help please

Can anyone tell what this large badge might have been used for? It is 7 1/4" long by 3 7/8" wide. I believe it is connected with the Grenadier Guards.

Peter is indeed correct, as that is the ''place'' for this sort of thing; however, I think it could be for the Royal Scots Fusiliers, perhaps? Let me know, if I don't see the post over there.

I think the material is too thin for a cartouche badge. Not my field really but perhaps a headdress badge - a fusileer's busby badge perhaps? Don't know about the regiment but RSF sounds reasonable.
