Need help with identifying parachute/harness remains

    Dear readers,

I found some remains of an British parachute on a former DZ/LZ. And with it was this strange elastic strap. Together with two large steel hooks. I searched and searched on the internet but I can't find anything. My guess is that is belonged to a supply drop container, and the elastic bungee cord was used as an shock absorber. But I have not found any reference material yet.

In the foxhole also remains from an Lee-Enfield airborne weaponsbag were found. Also two old licenseplates of a vehicle, but I think these are civilian.
About the remains of the parachute, they where mainly in white/leight brown color. But there was also a small part of green chute found with the above mentioned.

If more information or pictures are needed just let me know. My thanks in advance.
