Canadian 48th WW1 & 2 battledress.

Hey guys,

Just got this one today straight out of a friends antique store. He had a mix of ike and US service jackets and I was the first to pick through the pile.

Looks like your typical 1944 battledress but was aparently worn by a vereran of both wars.

The name attached is a "john McLean Brodie" #3433087.

Any thoughts on this item?

Its up on the e-stand for a reasonable 300$ + shipping.

my apologies if I haven't responded immediately to any responses to this. in the last week Ive delt both with a death in my immediate family as well as being hospitalized with a blood infection. im looking at being discharged in the next 3 days so ill update asap then.

Sorry for your loss. Hope you're recuperating well.

A quick search of the CEF records at LAC doesn't show any record for a John Brodie McLean or even a John B. McLean. Nor is there a listing for #3334087 - which would have been assigned to the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Eastern Ontario Regiment. None of that means its not a good'un, but it would have complicated any research on it you might have done.
