Well, "Lawrence of Arabia " is my favorite movie ( R.I.P., Peter O'Toole), but I guess I always thought that anything directly relating to Lawrence would be bloody expensive.
Just last week, the British auction house Dix Noonan Webb, had a medals & militaria auction that included a number of Lawrence related items, mainly medal groups to those who had served with him.
DNW has a nice website; you may want to check that auction's results, if they are up yet.

There used to be a large second handbookshop in Toronto with a special section on him... I think it was mainly a display of rare books about him and his deeds...

          Bob,
you're right with the Movie. It was a reason for me to have some Day's in Egypt in the 1980's as a Teen. There is nothing better than a sunrise in the Desert.
My Best one was in the Cockpit of an Egypt Air Flight to Assuan early in the morning with the matching Music in my mind.

Thanks for your replies, It is a great movie....yes....and more interesting is to study the real Lawrence, I have several books (not collectibles)...and like stated I think that mostly to collector Lawrence is to collect some of his books, original print, 1st editions..etc......

I was just wondering if somebody knew a site where original period portrait postcards of him can be bought....

I manged to get a boom where some of his personal items are shwon and some items that were in possesion of Lowell Thomas...nice Photp ref...!

Well, not a collector but certainly an admirer.

I have been to his desert outpost at Wadi Rum in Jordan, his lovely cottage at Cloud's Hill, Dorset, seen his Brough Superior motorcycle at Bovington and also the scene of his fatal accident. I would like to read his Seven Pillars of Wisdom someday.

I've dug some out...they are all 35mm slides )Fujichrome 100) that I've scanned. I went back packing to Jordan in Sep 89 whilst based in Cyprus. I was on my own and there was hardly anyone about. This is Qasr Azraq.

and Wadi Rum...I do not know if Lawrence was ever here, but the film was largely shot here, the scenery is awesome!

This the end of the road in, getting toward the small settlement and Army outpost where I stayed.

I met a Dutch bloke called Leo, he's just sweeping his bedspace, we just slept on those raised ledges on carpets, it was brilliant.
