    British Commonwealth Air Training Plan

Hello, I was going through an old family photo album and found a few photos of my Grandfather (5th from the left, back row) . He was in the RAF as a mechanic and was shipped over seas to Canada in 1943 were he was a part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan in Penhold Base, Alberta.

The point of my post is what type of plane is this in these photos, the photo was taken in Red Deer Alberta in 1943. I assume the plane is a part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. What type of plane is it and is this the type of plane he would have worked on?? Thanks for your help

    Hi,

The plane looks like an Anson to me.

    Kind Regards,
    Simon
