Home Front Helmets,just in!!

Hello,
Apart from the Home Guard stuff(see earlier thread),I also picked up these two helmets at the fair.

One is black,with the letters 'C C' painted front and back,I can't find this particular designation in any of my reference books,but have been told it may stand for County Controller.
Anyone know or have any idea on this one please?

The second is also black and is made of plastic,it is called the 'Plasfort' helmet.
It was issued(so I believe) to electricity repairmen,useful as it doesn't conduct electricity!!

Nice finds Andy! Look to be in good nick too....I've never seen one of those plastic helmets, are they quite scarce?

Nice lids could be Casualty Clearing .I dont have it in my list of stencils .The Plasforts used to be rare but with the avent of ebay they are more available ,Andy's is a nice example in excellent condition.Rob

Lovely lids! I think I was told once that the plastic ones were also used by the ordanance industry (non sparking). Does this sound correct? As for the CC it's beautifully done. Could it mean County Council, LOL.
