    Dorsetshire regt. Beret

    Hi guys

    Just a quick question is this a war time period example or post war?

    Its got a leather sweat band and 2 air vent rivets to the back, spaced roughly about 50mm apart.

    Any idea to vaule ?

    Sorry for the bad pics im going to have to up grade my camrea

        It is a nice Officers' private purchase General Service beret

        Near impossible to tell if it is WW2 or post-WW2 but the odds are in favour of it being wartime

        Value is approximately £25+ IMO.

          Hi Mark, I would pretty much agree with Jack. The cap is more than likely WW2 in date. In fact, most fashion conscious officers purchased a khaki beret proper, one peice construction with leather sweatband, etc. The GS cap was never a popular item, so I somehow doubt it would be post war. I might be a little more generous on "value" and say £35 or so.
