    1st Pat. Para Smock Original?

    Hi All,

I would very much appreciate you taking the time to view the attached images and advise if the smock is an original example or not.

    Kind Regards

            Very mint original feathers smock.
You see not many by this maker and the pattern is the same as postwar smocks. But is original 1942 manufacture !

            Nice find,love the paper tag!

            Regards,

            Johan

Nice looking smock in great condition. I assume you picked this up together with the beret from your other post - any history to go with them?

Is it me or do there seem to be quite a few 1st pattern Denisons on the market lately? And several of these in the larger sizes, 7 and 8?

This is the Denison that was for sale at Static-line a while back.

1942 dated "Feathers" are rare. They are unusual in that they used a two-piece construction for front and back panels .

                Nice smock

                  Thank you

                  Hi All,

Thank you very much for taking the time to view the images and post your replies.

SMP you are correct; It is the one that was for sale in Static-Line. Thank you for confirming the two piece construction by Feathers. That is the bit that concerned me.

Matthew, sadly no history with this smock or the beret. They were obtained together, but not related.

                  Kind Regards

                  Allan
