Only four men were awarded the MC with 3 additional clasps in WWI, including the gallant soldier above, Capt.P. Bentley, 5th Battn. KOYLI .
Thanks for showing it.
I found it interesting that seven officer's were awarded the DSO & three clasps in WWI, and eight in WWII, when the DSO was not awarded so freely, as in WWI, with 8,981 single bars in WWI, but only 4.880 in WWII.

Its a truely great medal , it is housed in a poor rack system so when the public pull it out to view it the medal wobbles about , a whole new viewing system is needed where it remains safe,
The medal is rarer than a VC !

ww1 MCs and bars were issued unnamed though you do see them privatly engraved!
