    Help on British Knife

Edged weapons are not my thing but I have been told this knife is British. Any information about it would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

3rd pattern fairburn sykes fighting knife, often called a commando dagger. Early post ww2 version I think. Does it have any markings in the handle or on the cross guard?

The 1 is a good sign and might make it a late war version. Try searching this site for more information.

It is a standard war time 3rd pattern
Exported to the us to pay off war debts hence the England export stamp
