RAF Type Flight Helmet?? WWII 1942 Dated

I've never had one of these and not sure what I have . I believe its an RAF type B. It is dated and named. It does fit my big head [7 1/8 US] but looks kinda pointed on top.

    I appreciate any help...

                  Hi there!

Not standard issue RAF type B, but made in Australia or some other commonwealth country..

                  Best,

Most probably a Canadian B-type helmet.

                      Best,

Just for interest, my Australian-made Type B has a thin adjustment strap across the forehead.

                        Agree. Highly likely it's Canadian-made.

I saw a guy wearing a leather helmet similar to this one on a preview for the upcoming tv show for rememberence day programs

The picture was of a pilot in a Lysander with the canopy side section in the open position

Was the Canadian airforce involved in the war in 1942? Pardon my ignorance but I'm not very familiar with Canada's involvement in the war....

                              thanks for help
