SAS Brown cotton trousers?

Hi,
I found these in my fathers loft today, he worn them many years ago for work when he was an electrician! The markings are War Dept but I have no idea who they would have been issued to, one stamp says SAS but it may not relate to "the" SAS, anybody have any ideas?

Rick, all I can tell you is that datestamp C is for 1952.
