Small grouping from a RA vet who served in Madagascar during the war. Group includes his KD and slouch with paybook , madagascar news paper some MEF paperwork for his return trip to the UK in 1945 and numerous french paper money from the area. Paybook has him joining in 1940 doing overseas survice around 1942/3, he was a telephonist and did a course in Swahili , which would tally with Madagascar. The most interesting to me is his African made KD jacket with sun panel to the back, something i have not come across before, i say Afican made as all button holes etc are hand stitched. A couple of photos show soldiers marching in this rig, he must be one of them. Cheers for now, Pete.
p.s Also of interest is the 1941 dated Australian slouch.
