    passive defense

Hello, I present a passive defense equipment rarely seen in collections or on the net. This is not my theme collection in particular, but I find very evocative object of the fear of the time against the German bombing raids. I assure you, no child has been abused for this evocation, I borrowed one of my baby girl who was thrilled to be this scene with me, besides, the pig seems happy experience: D. So you can see the anti gas hood, the infant was locked inside by straps to the thighs. A pump was actuated manually by the person in order to supply air in the infant. A plaque marking is visible on the rear showing the ownership of the unit to the state (hence the origin of the classification of gas masks: to ensure the return to the state by the holders of which he was available). I do not know if this type of material protected chemicals, I think more dust. I miss him more than to find objects in this theme to make a perfect staging. I hope you enjoy this evocation because it really is not common to see.

Very cool! I have never seen such a thing before! For gas or smoke I guess?

Awhile ago a chap brought one of these in to the guys of the show Pawn Stars. They had a specialist check it out and found to be original but they declined to buy it as they said they didn't think it would sell

hello, glad you like it. it is original, it is not an item that is not copied as desired and there must be a lot at the time. it is bulky but this is an article that I keep because I find it fun. I should find some other items on the theme for a nice little presentation. I understand that one can still find in some antique shop in London. This one, I bought it just a guy who buys in England to sell its products

Yep nice item if you collect such things the ultimate one to get it the 'Micky Mouse' gas mask.

The whole production run of 2000 was given away at the end of the war but only a few are around in museums now.

The guy was asking way too much for it.....It was like $1,000 or so.....I think Rick did some research and came to the same conclusion......Bodes
