    RAF Wing Identification

Here are two wings that I would like identified.

The first is 54mm wide brass with a pin fitting.

The second is 51 mm wide brass and is marked Rosenthal Toronto on the reverse. It is missing the fasteners but it looks like it had a pin fitting as well.

    My best guesses, so far...

    1. Royal Naval Air Service pilot's wing, circa 1917, as worn above tunic pocket.
    2. Royal Air Force, circa 1918, sleeve badge. I am guessing a sleeve badge as the eagle is facing to the left.

    Any help appreciated!

You would be correct in your assumptions. I will add though that the only time an RNAS brevet was worn above the left pocket was on Khaki dress. Sleeve worn on the Regular Navy Cut uniform.

        Thanks

Thanks for that bit of information, I wasn't aware of the dress regulations for the RNAS wing.
