I have a triple crown marked sling on a Swedish mauser that looks very similar. Look into Swede variants.
I think yours looks something like this:

I'd say that's a good bet. The holes the whole length of the sling - a bit odd otherwise - make sense in a sniper's weapon, capable of very fine adjustment of the length of the sling, which would be used to help steady the rifle while firing. Nice find!
