No offense to Ade but are you saying that his opinion is the only one worth giving credence to? I have been collecting and handling these uniforms for over 22 years so I feel very confident in my assessment. This is without a doubt a post war item and I was simply trying to help you solve the mystery as to why the date appears to be incorrect. I stand by my statement that using the word "modified" is 100% incorrect. Your blouse has not been modified from a war time blouse.

Can you tell us what color the lining material is? I can't get a clear idea from the photos. War dated and immediate post war blouses have a light khaki/tan color lining material while the 1950's and later blouses have a green lining. Perhaps this will help narrow things down.
