looks alright to me, has kings crown, not a slider, would be suitable for the period

Introduced in WWII and worn many years after, the lugs are quite unusual.

Can you show a straight on shot of the reverse of the crown, as that also looks a bit odd along with the strange lugs as Luc mentioned?

Thanks Luc. Can you see an odd lump behind the crown on the thread starter? The badge looks real, just the odd lump and strange lugs made me wonder.

No I'm afraid not. Are you sure it is not a shadow that looks like a lump?

Thanks for all the replies, I'm moving house at the moment and it's a nightmare!! I decided to get the badge posted, paid £25.00. Not sure how much they go for - I've seen them for £30 on a dealers site. I'll try and post a couple more shots when I get it (if I can find my camera).
