    Great Grandads WW1 Medals

    Hello all,

This is going to be a hell of a long shot, but ive just been informed through the family that my great granddads WW1 Medals were sold a few years ago. He was a Stoker on HMS Dartmouth during the war, second name 'Skinner', and was Awarded the Victory Medal, another Star and a Naval Medal, with another medal possibly. (Sorry for the vagueness but I have to remember off memory from over 10 years ago when I last saw them). If there is anybody that see's this, that is or knows of a Medal collector in TORQUAY, DEVON, ENGLAND or the surrounding suburbs, that bought a few medals off an older man maybe 2-4 years ago from NEWTON ABBOT, that was in response to a Newspaper Advert, please message me as Im very keen to bring the Medals back to the family at any price!

    Thanks for any help
    Michael

Try posting your request in the medals section on the Great War forum.

Jerry's suggestion is a good one. I would also introduce yourself on the British Medal Forum:

      http://www.britishmedalforum.com/

There is a very good chance that the collector is a member there, or at the very least someone there will know him.

      Good luck in your search.

      Cheers,

      Adam
