Badge appears to be a bronze officer's version, for the Royal Artillery, while the cap is definitely an other ranks issue cap.
Cap is of course missing the side buttons & chinstrap. I can't say wth any certainty whether it's authentic, or not.

Looks like a Guards OR's cap, probably original but messed with and might be post WWII.

Yes, if it has the "slashed" peak; do the letters TP written inside mean trooper, as in Household Cavalry?
