British helmet - Para liner

an armoured crew helmet, made from a converted para shell, any date on the leather, 2nd one of these Ive seen now in a few weeks, not that means anything..

yes stamped 1944 and 7 and a half

Looks to be a civilian protective helmet liner ( Zuckerman) which would have been originally dated 1940 but most likely 1941 so has be messed with. These helmets were converted by the Danes post war.

interesting, the other one I saw had the para chinstrap cup on ..
