    DCM is a fake / copy what ever you want to call it now I have seen the pictures.

    War medal is to Arthur Williams, not entitled to a DCM. He was entited to a victory medal. Its worth £25.00 retail.

      well that's why I posted em to find out about them, so thanks for the information, don't know where the DCM originated then if not with him
      but can't decipher the name and have tried using jeweler's lighted loupe
      and everything

        It could be a private copy? If its made from silver could be worth something.

        Might be worth keeping together & sticking on eBay

            got response back from two dealers in WWI British medals, consensus is the DCM is period copy probably purchased by soldier to wear in public
            worth 100-150 pounds as filler.
