    WW1 Canadian rimless brodie

    Hello

I got this helmet after I put an add in the paper. I got a number of items 1916 dated enfield sling, ross bayonet and webbed gators that looks like leather officers gators and some other small items. The items were owned by her Grandfather. She didn't know much about his time overseas. Unfortunately the helmet was left out in a shed for a number of years and the mice got to the liner. The leather was not touched but the mesh and padding is mostly gone. I can't make out the manufacture stamp but the original owner scratch his name in the paint. The helmet is painted in a green paint with what looks like an engineers painted badge. Please let me know what you think and if you have any other questions

Are you sure that the helmet is not grey?
On 18 Novemeber, 1918 all units of the 3rd Div were ordered to paint their helmets grey and to apply, via stencils which were provided, the unit badge on the front. Units were to poll their troops to find painters, etc.. to perform this.
