This is newest edition to my very small British collection that I just picked up last Sunday. All-matching Enfield No.4MkII produced by Savage arms in the U.S. as part of the lend-lease program. The magazine clip is even stamped with the "square S". I believe this to be dated 1944. The sling is also dated 1944.

That is indeed a nice addition to your collection. The wood is excellent with some attractive tiger striping on the butt. The metal has seen some use but at least it's original. The markings on the barrel are fairly recent (within the last several years). The butt plate is actually a material known as Zamak. It is an alloy composed of zinc, aluminum, magnesium and copper.Last edited by Infanteer; 04-16-2013, 08:29 PM.
